I have an ASUS mobo Maximus 8 Ranger and a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz 4.01 GHz, I have installed a TPM module and it is working but my CPU is not currently supported for Win 11, does anyone know which would be the next step up that could work with my MoBo and not break the bank?

Your motherboard has a socket LGA 1151, so you'll need a CPU socket LGA 1151 that is compatible with Windows 11. I suggest looking up a list such as the one below and comparing what your mother board can use with your price range.

Basically, you'd need a whole new system.
Motherboard+CPU at the very least.

With Intel, Win 11 is only valid for 8th gen and above.


Why Win 11?
You're not missing anything magical, and Win 10 is fully supported until Oct 2025.

Just wait for 11 until you build up a whole new system.
