My computer's PSU died a couple of weeks ago, i replaced it and it worked fine for 4-5 days but now the pc doesn't boot anymore. It POSTs fine (1 beep) and then i see the Asus screen but it gets stuck there. I tried with different memory, different PSU, cleared the RTC and BIOS params but still nothing. Any idea what could cause this? I would think the problem with the PSU somehow screwed the MOBO but the fact that it POSTs fine confuses me

Any ideas? what could cause this? something else i can try before giving up?

The mobo is an Asus P5G41C-M with a Intel Pentium E6500 Dual Core Processor
The new psu is Altec VP-450

I unplugged all the hardrives, PCI cards, peripherals -except HDMI for video (but i did try with no video) and PS2 keyboard-
