Hey guys,

I’ve had this ASUS 27” IPS panel sitting in the closet since it wouldn’t stayed powered on. It’s been nearly a year since I’ve lost my dual monitor setup, and I’m sick of the loss of productivity. So, tonight I decided to open it up. (Don’t worry I’m careful enough not to cause further damage.)

Anyway, I removed the input board from the rest of the monitor, and kooky at what I found! So, from the pictures, what can I do? I’m assuming some touch ups will need to be done. Tell me what you guys would do.

Front.
Back.

that looks like that got HOT HOT HOT.. you COULD (if you know how to) solder the post back on.. (the back image shows in the middle and top connector should be connected but it got too hot.. that could be simply a bad power supply OR some other component on that board is bad. (don't connect both together.. I mean the posts need to be re-soldered to the pcb board. and it may work.

Edit: I would check the rest if any other parts look cooked / overheated..
