So i just finished building my custom build and installed everything, however im having trouble with the new ASUS monitor, it would work fine to a certain point where a few minutres after, the display will shut off,
Im thinking its the Power from the cord of the monitor, the green light would fade away, the only way i can re-connect and turn the monitor back on again, is by removing AND puting the socket back on.. sometimes the green light would blight up bright green, THen it would die off again forcing me to remove from the wall socket and putting it back in...
Its acting super strangely and im not sure if it has to do with my PC, THe electricity in my house, or jsut a faulty monitor :/
Ive ruled out that is has nothing to do with my PC specs, but i think its a faulty power supply from ASUS,
Im not entirely sure, maybe i Messed up ly monitors circuit when i booted up my computer for the first time?
Anyways, what should i do? is this a fault, or should i tweak the setting of something differently?

Solution
don't think it is the adapter as ran into same problem with a laptop that had a short in it's motherboard. as soon as I plugged in my working adapter into the laptop, that adapter's light turned off & I thought I fried it. disconnected the adapter from the laptop & powerbar, waited about 20 seconds & reconnected to the powerbar & the light came on til I connected to the laptop then light went off. I scrapped the laptop.

actually its weird, my monitor works fine for now,
Before when i was trying to install Windows 10 and set up the bios, the monitor would for some reason turn off,
CAncelling the whole process again, its fine now, bbut i just found it wierd

yep thought it was fine, im getting a new power adapter, systems are starting all over again, im not sure if it had to do something with me friying a circuit in the pwoer adpater when i tried everythhing for the first time..
For some reason the power adaptor will only work, if all my lights and lamps etc.. Are de-branched from the sockets on the wall, then my monitor would turn on for longer periods of time..
I tried it with evey socket, still the light fades and monitor wont turn on, when theres circuit traffic..
The asus monitor power adaptor is the only eletricl appliance doing this

Honestly setting up computers can be a real headache, with problems after problems re-occuring :/

_____________

After tring different sockets and power lines, sounds like you have it narrowed down, let us know what you find out on it

normally getting one tomorrow if i have time and im not exhausted, I just hope its the power adapter and nothing else :/

Edit:
My monitors charger's AD/DC has a green light on it that indicates that it's plugged in and working.

When I plug it into the wall, the light goes on as expected. As soon as I plug it into the monitor, the light SOMETIMES stays on and the monitor does just fine, however, depending, Minutes or even Hours, the adapter decides to take a break and shut downs

After that, the charger's light doesn't turn green again, even though it is still plugged into an outlet. I need to unplug it from the wall and wait a few minutes. It's strange - unplugging and immediately re-plugging it does not bring back the charge; I have to wait for several minutes, this happens with every outlet in the house

Is this a charger issue or a monitor issue?
what can I do? should i simply buy another one?

the adapter looks similar to this, with a 3 pin head to connect to the adadpter:
