Hey,

My ASUS monitor (VC239H) takes ages to turn on. Before, I didn't really mind but I have just got a google home mini and a smart plug and the delay is really noticeable from my other Samsung monitor that almost turns on instantly.

My Question is; is there a way to disable or remove the ASUS splash screen on my monitor?

Thank you.

Solution

Switch the monitors, so you have the samsung screen as the primary monitor. This allowing you to have a quicker turn on screen for the login page. Normally my second monitor does not turn on until I have logged into the operating system
Hello,

Are both monitors connected to the smart plug?

Has it always been slow?

Try without the smart plug.

Also just curious whats the google home mini to do with this? 😀

Unfortunately there are not any ways I have heard of that allow you to disable it.

Is your ASUS your primary monitor?

The Smart plug is connected to a 6-port extension cable which is connected to both monitors. The monitor's splash screen has always been this slow. I use the google home mini to turn on the smart plug, which then turns on the monitors. The ASUS monitor is my primary monitor and I have a secondary Samsung monitor (dual monitors).

are both monitors plugged into the GPU?

Thanks but it's not to do with the PC Boot time. It's whenever I turn off and on the monitor. For Example; I'm going out but I want to leave my PC on to download something but don't want to have my monitors on at the same time, so when I get back I turn on my monitors again, but the ASUS monitor takes like 10-20 seconds to turn on every time. It doesn't sound like a long time, but when you are doing this often, everyday, it gets really irritating.
