So I tried looking through some similar forums about this but didn’t find an exact explanation. So I bought the asus vg249q yesterday and I hooked it up with DisplayPort. I previously had 2 monitors, one asus one lg both were connected with a DisplayPort to hdmi cable since neither of them had DisplayPort input. Now the new monitor does have DisplayPort in so I connected it with the included DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable and it does work but when I go into nvidia control panel and choose to change resolution if I select the 1080p (native) under the uhh, held,sd tab I can only select 60hz. I have to go under the pc tab and select 1920x1080 from there to be able to choose 144hz. From what I read I think it might be the cable. I used the cable that came with the monitor, should I buy a DisplayPort 1.2? Will that allow me to run 144hz with the native 1080p ?
