I have an ASUS P7Q57- M D0 Motherboard with an Intel i7 processor, that will not boot. Once it powers on it runs for a short time, reboots then flashes my monitor on and off. I'm not sure why it is doing this and would appreciate any help I can get.
Try taking all the RAM sticks out aside from one and try turning it on, if it fails then test again for a different RAM slot.
If that fails then it could unfortunately be due to something being pressed in a bit too hard. You may need to check for bent CPU socket pins.
Simply put try running it with as little as possible and try different possibilities.
it runs completely fine using the 9500 GT, so i don't think that is the problem, the CPU is seated properly and i checked the ram its fine. I think it is an issue between the 8800 and the Motherboard but I'm not sure if its compatibility or something else.
