Asus motherboard led lights error code and no display.

My computer Asus motherboard gives two led light flashes and two memory led flashes and then shuts off. what do I do? I've tried messing around with the memory and the plug in for the cpu power. But nothing is working! Please help.
A little more info. I built the computer about four years ago. Its been working fine but now its not even showing a display but the fans turn on and dosent power usb's. I also tried taking out all of the ram and powering it on. It turned on the memory led light and then I hit the men OK! Bottom witch caused it to flash slowly then the CPU flashed once then it flashed faster then the cpu flashed and so on until it just stopped flashing and went back to red. So far I can't find any other people with this problem.

Have you established what the error flashes refer to? You could just have a dead RAM module. Test one at a time. Download memtest86 if possible: http://superuser.com/questions/727959/how-to-create-a-bootable-memtest86-on-usb-flash-drive

Its not designed to change anything....its designed to tell you if your RAM is faulty.

Well I looked up the RAM error codes and I got the 2 beep error. Every solution to that problem such as resetting the memory, didn't work. My real problem is I'm confused as to why the RAM and the CPU lights come on.

You still havent mentioned if memtest86 found any faults with the memory? It sounds like one or more of the RAM sticks may be faulty, or else your CPU is faulty.

I agree with you on the fact that it's a mem or cpu problem. Some people suggest that it's a graphics card error but I don't have a graphics card so that can't be it. Could it be that it is both the CPU and the RAM? Or maybe even the mobo? How can I find out?
