ASUS motherboard not booting on RTC Alarm

Motherboard: 990FX R2.0
Last night I enabled wake on RTC for 7am, and of course it didnt come on this morning, I cant find any more information online, any advice would be appreciated .
Power is always on
I'd restarted my computer a few times after setting up

Update the bios of the motherboard
Don't flash in Windows!

I updated the bios, and tested it, it worked in my first test (I just added a few mins to actual time)

But then the next morning when I want it coming on it didnt work, when I started my computer, a windows boot error appeared, I pressed escape to restart and windows loaded up, and this happens quite often when I turn off and on my computer.

Not sure what to do now, because its not working, and seems to have caused more problems

Did you load the default settings in bios?

Another update:
So I updated BIOS, errors happened, realised the boot order had changed so fixed that.
in 1 of my tests the computer came back on again, then never again.
So I'm back to square one with a computer that doesnt want to turn on when I tell it to! 😛
