Asus motherboard question

I wanna buy a Asus motherboard for the Amd 6800k, i have heard that if i motherboard did not come with one bios compatible wont start, is really that ?

As long as you buy a motherboard that lists the CPU as supported at the lowest revision then you should be fine.

Many ASUS boards have a Bios flash option without the CPU, but I think that is only available on higher end boards.

Bad news are that they both require a BIOS update for supporting the 6800K.
Good news are that the BIOS chip is on socket and in case it's too old, you can order one flashed with the latest BIOS from ebay and easily replace the board's one.

i read that asus f2a85m pro, permit the update without CPU

Yes, the Pro version features the Flashback that allows you to update the BIOS even if the CPU is not supported.
