Asus motherboard: Single usb 3.0 port not working

I just recently went through a motherboard replacement with Asus where I sent in my original P8Z77-V Pro board, and was sent back a P8Z77-V Pro/Thunderbolt. Since rebuilding my machine I have discovered that a single USB 3.0 port does not work properly. This specific port is located to the left of the PS/2 port. All devices that I have hooked up to it, do not work. To make matters bizzare, plugging in my Razer Abyssus mouse to this usb port causes its blue light to light up showing that it is getting power. However, there is no data being communicated between the mouse and the computer. Uninstalling and reinstalling drivers have failed to remedy this issue. BIOS is up to date. Please assist me in finding a solution to this matter.

Spec footnote appears this port shares allocation with the TB port:

*9: Thunderbolt port shares bandwidth with SATA6G_E12, USB3_E12 and PCIeX1_2. The Thunderbolt port default runs at X2(Auto) mode, SATA6G_E12 and USB3_E12 are enabled for system resource optimization. Go to Advanced> Onboard Devices Configuration> Thunderbolt bandwidth in BIOS to configure the bandwidth to [X4] for full speed support.

Could be some kind of issue with driver or other devices being used with the board at same time by the sounds of it. Either way, I'd update the board to latest UEFI and drivers just in case.

Which particular driver you installed for that usb 3.0 port?

Well you've got ASmedia and Intel ports on the mobo, so if you've installed them both the issue lies elsewhere. The drivers are ont eh support CD but I'd download the latest ones from the ASUS support page for the board and use those. You can also see if for some reason the TB port is set to X4 config in UEFI, as if it is, I think there is a chance that USB 3.0 port is rendered in operable.

I checked my BIOS (which is currently 2104) and found that the TB port was set auto. And yet 1 Asmedia USB 3.0 port is not working. Switching to X4 disabled both Asmedia USB ports. I could try uninstalling and reinstalling the latest drivers again. However this did not work previously, and I am sure that I used the latest drivers from the Asus support site.

try fix them in control panel program.. ort maybe there is a problem in your device that you are trying to connect on that 3.0 ports..
if is still not working, Maybe you can RMA it again.
