Asus Motherboard Support CD not supporting operating system

New Server build using Asus H87I-Plus with Windows Server 2011. I have Server 2011 completely installed after troubleshooting, but now I'm stuck at updating my Mobo drivers. Keep getting that pesky popup stating Mobo support CD doesn't support operating system.

Tried using a few compatibility modes with no luck.

Suggestions?

That's because Intel don't supply server OS drivers for some of the hardware used on the board (NIC etc).

Windows Server 2011 should use the Windows 7 drivers, they won't auto-install, but you can point the device manger drive update option to the extracted files and let Windows sort it. I do this with my Server08 and Server2012 installs.

Had a tough time getting all my drivers up to date on my motherboard. I felt like I had a good motherboard and cpum but windows server wasn't allowing me to use them to their potential. Ended up installing windows 7 on it instead and making it a home computer for my son. He loves it and I'm happy, but still need to build a NAS. I have another build that was my son's intended computer. Does anyone know if the asrock 970 pro3 r2.0 am3+ could work?
