Hello,

So i just completed my first build and so far everything is working fairly smoothly. Installed windows 7 64-bit this past weekend and im now writing this message from my newly build computer. However i have found that the USBs on my motherboard are not working, except for the mouse and keyboard.

It is an Asus M5A97 EVO.

I installed the drivers from the disk originally but then also downloaded updated ones from their support website for both the chipset and usbs and still no luck. Checked the device manager and it says their installed and working correctly. Thought about doing a BIOS update but im not really confident in doing that right now.

Can anyone help with this?

I'm having a similar issue! Except in my case the issue is with the internal usb 3.0 connector for my case's front usb 3.0 ports. The 2.0 ports work fine, but the 3.0 ports don't even appear to be powering my GoFlex drive??

I'm going to try the ports at the back panel to see if they work.

I have checked and everything is enabled in BIOS. Strangely I can't get either the chipset or the Asus AI suite to install on my windows installation (I'm running Windows 7 with SP1 Ultimate 64bit).

I too am going to try and update my BIOS, original attempt failed, downloaded the latest file from support.asus.com but when I try to update from BIOS ezflash tool it says that it is not a valid EFI BIOS :S

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!!

Cheers
