Hi,
I was looking for a good 23"-24" LED monitor for my gaming needs. I mostly play FPS and RPG games (Battlefield 3, Skyrim). The new monitor is going to replace my old SyncMaster T200HD monitor. I have found 2 monitors, the ASUS MX239H who is very good looking, and the ASUS VG248QE, who is better for gaming (not sure)
Can someone help me to choose the right one? What are the key differences between MX239H and VG248QE?
ASUS MX239H: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236310&cm_mmc=SNC-YouTube-_-NETV-_-1NJp8FwFd8w-_-24-236-310

ASUS VG248QE Black 24 for sure

"Ultra smooth action with 144Hz rapid refresh rate and 1ms (GTG) response time" which is insane for gaming which means you can run at 120fps or more which would be ALOT better then the common 60fps/60Hz thats out now

buttery gameplay pretty much

Thats a hard one to bro..Idk what i would do faced with that decision

Everything seems to lean towards the ASUS VG248QE.
As said, the response time is 1ms, its brighter, its bigger, and by the looks of things it has better viewing angles than the MX.
As well as the added bonus of having a DVI input, which the MX does not.

Agreed - the IPS is going to have better viewing angles and better color accuracy, HOWEVER, with enough patience and trial/error, you can configure the VG248QE colors to be more than good enough, but you lose out if the wide viewing angle is important to you. I have a VG248QE and that 1ms response time and 144 Hz refresh rate is gorgeous, and I don't do anything like photo editing or anything where I need the better color accuracy/picture quality, so it was an easy choice.
