Asus N53 adapter will not recognize 5GHz band on Asus N66U router? [Windows 8]

I can only see the 2.4GHz band with or without the n53 utility. I am currently using windows network interface as I don't like the n53 utility.

Make sure the 5GHz band is enabled on the router.
