Question Asus N76VB CPU upgrade

Hi all!

I was looking to upgrade the CPU in an old laptop.
Right now it's running on i7-3630QM. I want to fit 3740QM . My main concern is that if this laptop is able to run with this laptop. On Asus website I didn't find an answer. I checked if my southbridge supports this CPU and I found that Intel HM76 Express chipset supports i7-3632QM - AV8063801152700 but supports partially i7-3632QM - AW8063801152800. Can anybody clarify this?

My questions is that if anybody knows if this laptop supports this CPU.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Looking at this specs list or so as the laptop was geared towards it's audience, they never did come with an i7-3740QM. I'd suggest avoiding the processor upgrade entirely since you're looking at dropping in a processor that has a 300MHz increment on all processor clocks.
