ASUS & Newegg ripped me off.

I recently bought a refurbished monitor off NEWEGG.ca. When I opened the box.. I found out the power ac adapter for my monitor was not inside and the base stand for my monitor didn't even fit. I contacted both companies regards to this issue and both declined to ship me an adapter and a new base. ASUS refused to send me one because it wasn't covered under the warranty. My only option is to return it. Just awfully careless of asus and newegg.

Contact Newegg Customer Service. I found them to be quite professional; no complaints.

gotta be careful with refurbished purchases alot of them have disclaimers that the item may be lacking power cables or the like and is just the bare bone item.

also bear in mind that refurbished means that it was already sent back and it may have been sent back without the items you described.

contact newegg support and calmly explain the situation, don't use accusatory language at all. politely ask if you may obtain the missing items (try to include a photo of all the items that were sent) and if not ask if you can get a return if the page you ordered from didn't specify that the item would be lacking a stand and power adapter.

I did calmly explain the situation to both companies. Neweggs told me to contact ASUS for the missing accessories then ASUS told me to contact newegg for the missing accessory. It was a ping pong match and it's still not resolved. Newegg said they don't have the missing accessory and ASUS doesn't cover accessories under the limited warranty.

that is not asus fault. just return it they don't have a plug and they dislaim it on their site. I found their refurbs are not that much cheaper anyways might as well buy new. I never buy returned or refurbs just taking possession with someone elses problem.

Some refurbished items do not include accessories, and it says so in the ad.

on a monitor the power brick and stand are not parts that can not be sent..makes the product unusable...buying a mb with no sata cable or io shield does not make the mb non usbale just makes the build look ugly. for the op if you used a credit card to buy the monitor do a charge back with the credit card company. get your money back and then buy the monitor somewhere else.

Thank you for sharing this experience and I am truly sorry to hear that the stand did not fit the monitor and that the AC adaptor was not included in your package.

All of our stock comes directly from the manufacture or an authorize dealer, this includes refurbished items. As such, all of our stock is in factory sealed boxes and we do not have “Spare Parts” available to give to our customers.

It’s unfortunate that the ASUS did not want to assist and provide you with a stand and adaptor but they may have sent you our way since you were still within your 30 days to return to us.
I would recommend to ether contact ASUS once more, or email us your order details to wecare@newegg.com so we may set up an RMA for a return for you.
