ASUS Notebook Warrenty

I purchased an ASUS Q550LF-BSI7T21 Notebook less than a year ago.

It seems that the internal wiring running to the microphone has become pinched or disconnected as the built-in microphone only works when the notebook is closed or nearly closed.

Would this be considered to be repaired or replaced under ASUS hardware warranty?
