ASUS Notebook won't turn on

My auntie bought me an ASUS notebook only a few months ago for when I start college, but now it won't turn on.
I can't remove the battery without pulling it to bits, when I try and charge it the light comes on and so does the power light but the screen does nothing, I don't know what to do, I can't afford a new one & desperately need it working for when I start college.
The model is X102B.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

There should be a small pin reset on the bottom of the laptop, take the charger out of the DC port and hold down the reset button on the bottom with a pin for a good 20-30 seconds, Reconnect the Charger and hit the power, if its nothing too serious you should be back up and running

I don't think it has a reset button? Or if it has I can't find it?

Correct, only way to reset it then is to take the battery out reset it by holding power for 20-30 sec then putting it back in

And also if your taking the back off, I wouldn't put it back on untill you have solved the issue, if the laptop is also powering on but no display. Reseat the RAM or try with just 1 stick, but first try the battery trick
