So im new to pc parts and stuff .
Pc : Dell Inspiron 560
Pc specs : Intel celeron 450 @ 2.0 ghz
2gb ddr3 ram
Asus Nvidia GT 730 2 GB GDDR5

When i installed the graphics card and started checking out for any improvements there wasnt any. It made games more laggy. So then i did some research and found out one of the reasons could be " BOTTLENECKING" . and so i wanted to ask which processor will go well with this Graphics card and wont bottle neck it much.
I was thinking would a Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.0 ghz suffice ?

Solution
I would recommend the core 2 quad q6600 or higher their fairly cheap the q6600 is going for like 12 bucks or something like that
but also realize that the GT 730 is in no means meant to play games its more like a display adapter so that card might (i'm not sure ) bottleneck some of the higher end core 2 quads and xeons

Solution
For sure, you want to check Dell's support website to find out which specific cpus are supported. Other then the obvious socket format, there are sometimes mainboard hardware revisions which might address thermal or power regulation/ current requirements, PSU capacity, case cooling limitations, etc....
