I have decided to build my own gaming PC and have came up with this build, http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/K7MTZL
But I have not picked a GPU because I'm stuck between

Or the

Which is better for gaming and why? They are both the same price but i was looking more towards the asus one as I have choose an asus motherboard.

Also are all the retailers on my list have good customer support if something is broken (ebuyer, ccl computers, more computers)

And a final question is that 750w psu good enough for this build?

Solution

not sure.

i just know the directCUII lineup is hit and miss. pretty sure the general belief among 780/780ti owners is it's not very good. meanwhile it is a pretty good cooler for the 770/680/670 so... meh. All i know is the windforce is a pretty well respected card in the 780 lineup.

Didn't actually reply to you the first time so I don't think you would of got a notification

Both are excellent coolers.
The windforce is a little bigger and covers a wider area with 3 fans, for added dissipation, which inturn would keep the card cooler.
The DCUII uses a more advanced heatsink system to quickly extract and move heat to the fans, which also is quite effective.

I'm using a DCUII and I can barely hear it run unless I put my ear to the fans, or I run the fans to max.

I personally avoid Gigabyte cards after having a succession of faulty cards from them. I'd also avoid the ASUS 780 Ti as I've seen VRM temps go over 100C which isn't healthy. I'd recommend an EVGA or MSI card.

Considering the pricing of the other cards you've looked at, I'd go with the MSI 780 OC Gaming.
