Hi All,
Recently I have ordered an asus P4b533-e motherboard. Just for fun I want to complete PC from year I have bought my first real pc - 2002.
After installed everything - cpu, ram, gpu etc. I have strange situation. The PC starts running, no errors, just single "beep" that indicates everything is ok.
Then Motherboard/Asus logo appear and, no matter if I want to go to BIOS setup or just do nothing, monitor immediately is going to power saving mode. No reset, no errors, PC still "works".
One interesting thing - if I go to bios, I am assuming bios is opened because when I click f10 and enter (save changes and exit) PC is restarting like it should. Just like after an ordinary config change.
MOBO - Asus P4B533-E (https://www.cnet.com/products/asus-p4b533-e-motherboard-atx-socket-478-i845e/)
CPU - P4 SL6PF, 2,80 GHZ, 512 cache, 533Mhz (checked on official asus web https://www.asus.com/supportonly/P4B533-E/HelpDesk_CPU/ and here http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-ASUS/P4B533-E.html for compatibility)
RAM - KINGSTON DDR 512MB 266MHZ CL2.5
GPU - GeForce 4 MX440 64MB AGP
Standard cooler, standard 350W PSU
I am using VGA to HDMI converter for display on new type monitor. I am assuming it is working since tle logo of Asus appears on the beginning. Lowest supported res by monitor is 640 x 480 (manual).
I have reseted Bios - followed instruction from manual https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/...13.240480081.1583825859-1103905561.1582796946 page 52
Using Asus POST Reporter (vocal post messages), no issues other than "no mouse connected" or "no hard disc connected".
I have go through internet, including this forum, but no success and any info about similar issue.
Any ideas, thoughts? Thanks!
