Hi,
I was using Core2Duo E5300 and 4(2x2) GB DDR2 800 Mhz Ram on ASUS P5G41M LX. I changed my cpu to Core2Quad Q9400 but i can't use the left ram slot. I have two ram slots on mobo.
I've tried both of the rams on right slot, there is no problem.(I've used both of rams at same time.)
I've tried my PSU,GPU and Rams on another mobo, no problem. They work.
I've cleared my cmos. It didn't work.
I've tried my old CPU on my mobo, it didn't work.
I've looked my cpu pins on my mobo, they looks normal.
Btw sorry my bad english.

1| Did you make sure your ram slots weren't physically damaged?

2| Take an eraser and rub the contacts of the rams before dropping them into the ram slots.

3| You should also pass on the make and model of the rams. Are they from a kit?

4| Were you on the latest BIOS revision prior to dropping in that Q9400?

5| Mind sharing your full system's specs prior to CPU upgrade like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

6| Can you see both sticks of ram within BIOS?
