[SOLVED] ASUS P5GC MX/GBL quad core support?

Hello, my name is Jason.

Recently, I acquired a free LGA 775 computer with a core 2 duo e4600. I noticed that the motherboard's chipset (945GC) does not show any sort of clue about quad core compatibility, yet when I looked up the ASUS CPU support page, I saw a few quad cores listed as compatible (Q9400, Q9550, Q9650)

I am asking if my computer compatible with any of the quad cores listed in the site, as I am unsure about the meaning of terms such as FSB, etc.

I saw that the core2quads, and some of newer core 2 duos had a note that says "beta,beta,Due to chipset limitation, 1333FSB processors can only run at a maxium speed of 1066FSB on this motherboard." I am not sure what this means? Does it mean that the CPU will run slower, or will I need a BIOS update to use the CPU?
