Hey guys!
I'm have a question to all of you,
So, I have a Asus P5K/EPU motherboard with an Intel E7200 2,53Ghz cpu+ stock heatsink. Its all under winxp, and with the motherboard cd I got a Asus AIgear(something like that) software. The software shows me cpu, system temp, case fan speed. It all good to know, but for me its a bit too loud! even when i put the cpu fan speed 'quite' 'silent' and case fan at 60% speed, that is the lowest it will allow me to do or (auto). Either case, its too loud for me.
Other thing is I would like the cpu temp go lower (possibly OC later, but even if I won't, i'd like to keep the temp down). At the moment, as I write this to you guys; and for several days of keeping an eye on this, my cpu temp 'idles' at 40-44C and system 35-40 C. Only things I do while at these temp are normal, browseing, downloading,..etc.
I have unplugged the case fan (1x80mm) and the quiteness I get is nice, what I'd like. Just don't know if I could keep it unplugged, wouldn't hurt the cpu by heating up.
I have read a lot about Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 pro rev2. and it supports my 775 socket! So far so good! I just don't know if it would fit in? Or is there a better performance/quiteness cpu cooler?
I hope you guys will help!
