[SOLVED] Asus P5K first bios version?

Hi. I bought recently an Asus P5K motherboard (used from ebay). I have a Core 2 Duo E6400 2.13GHz processor. Before I bought it, I asked the seller if is support my cpu. He said "you can order the motherboard". When I installed it, it was not working (black screen and only the fans were spinning). The other hardware is operating well with other motherboard (ram is 667Mhz DDR2). Core 2 Duo E6400 requires 0302 bios according to https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/P5K/HelpDesk_CPU/ . Is it the first bios version of Asus P5K or not? I asked the seller what bios version has the motherboard and he answer to me <<the lowest>>. But he don't tell me any number of this "lowest bios version". I would like to know If the motherboard is ok or fried.

The manufacturer's website will tell you -- https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/P5K/HelpDesk_CPU/ Shows the version for all supported CPUs. 0302 is the lowest version I see listed.

Do you have a speaker connected? The cheap test will probably be to buy another early CPU like a Pentium D 930 or similar. They are available on E-Bay for a couple dollars.
