Asus p5kc bios update trouble.

Tried updating the bios using the ez flash utility, it loaded up fine and rebooting after installing the update. After rebooting it pasts the post stage, i believe, but sits on the asus p5kc screen and will not load any further. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated. Thank you

Try clearing the cmos. It might have gotten scrambled.

tried that by taking the battery out and putting the cap on plugs 2-3, unfortunately did not help. Is there another way to reset the cmos?

Sometimes there are jumpers on the motherboard that are just for that and you would have to consult your owners manual to see where it would be.
