Asus P5KPL Motherboard ?

I have bought an Asus P5KPL Motherboard, I fitted into my case and plug everything in like it says in the instuction manual, but when I power up nothing is shown on the monitor. All I get it a black screen with nothing. The onboard USB ports don't work either and it says you must get the connectors right otherwise it won't boot up. I have tried playing around with the different settings but still nothing is shown the monitor.

Can anyone help?

please conform processor correctly fitting in to the cpu socket.
and also check RAM
