Here are the specs of the box I'm trying to over clock;

P4 3.73 EE
Asus P5ND2-SLI Deluxe
2GB XMS DDR2 6400 (5-5-5-15) pair of 1GB sticks
2 MSI 256MB 7800 GTX in SLI
PC Power and Cooling 510W Turbo Cool SLI
Prometia Mach II GT

Since some people here have used the Mach 2, and I hope the same mobo, I was wondering if I could get some help with a few quesitons.

My first question is for anyone familiar with the P5ND2-SLI Deluxe. I have the box put together, and I can over clock it fine in the BIOS. I've been able to bump up the proc to 4.41 stable so far. The problem is this only shows in the BIOS. Any time I do any overclock, it isn't reported in windows, it instead defaults to 3.72. This is using CPU-Z, the nVentiv app with my cooler or the windows properties. I've turned of the on die throtteling in the BIOS and have everything set for manual overclock. Does anyone know why my OC isn't showing up in windows when it shows up fine in the BIOS?

My second question is for any Mach II experts. I can get everything up and running fine. @ 4.41 my proc is running around -11 to -9C and everything looks good. Then for no reason I, or the tech support at nVentiv, can fathom, the compressor just shuts off. The CPU begins to overheaat, and then shuts off due to overtemp. Has anyone ever experienced any of this before with the Mach II?

Bump

Does anyone at least have an idea why my overclock shows up in the BIOS, but seems to revert back to stock settings once windows loads up?

Does it POST showing the OC settings? And if not, because your cooler is failing and your CPU is overheating, ASUS has the BIOS revert to default settings after failure so you can actually boot up, so maybe that is what is causing the problem. I would return that compressor, btw, and get a new one 🙁.
