Hey there,

I built a smoking C2D E6700 rig with DDR2 6400 memory.. details in the signature.

The problem is I turn it on and it stalls and takes a while to boot. Anything I can do to speed this up? Its like it auto detects everything. I do use the EZbackup raid.. which I like.. but should it cause me to have a 45 second load up?

Can nobody aid me in this?

I disabled legacy boot.. and clipped out anything I dont need in the BIOS. But after it detects the ammount of ram.. it sits there for like 10-15 seconds and then spins off all the drives and stuff.

Its not super bad mind you. But with all the killer hardware I have in this thing I wish it would load up fast!

Once I am in the desktop the thing is grease lightning... just getting there stinks :/

I'm kind of wondering the same thing. Starting up takes a lot longer than it should on my system, it seems like the POST checks take forever and then I have to deal with selecting which OS I want to load because I have it on dual boot (OS's are on different drives though). After I get past all the boot up loading, like you said it's lightning. From the log in screen to the desktop is like instant.

I don't really know how to help you since I'm wondering the same thing.

Hehe you got me all pumped to read my thread!

Sucks you have the same problem though. I have been up and down the BIOS on the DH Deluxe and got nothing.

It is a pretty dang sweet rig though. Looks like yours is pretty sweet too.. do you dig the Armor case? My P180B is so quiet and and nice.. but the with PSU on the bottem.. when the cables come in, it makes it tight to put a PCI card in the bottem. If I go crossfire.. the only PCI I get is right between the two video cards.. thats a warm spot!

Have you tried the remote? I am considering installing it to try it out.
