I've seen reports of people being able to use 8 GB ram sticks on this mobo. Are they fake or does it truly support 8 GB ram? I can boot up my computer just fine if I have it installed alongside my 4 GB ram stick, which is something I wasn't able to do when my other 4GB ram died, so I was thinking I needed to tweak something to make it recognizable, but I have no idea what to do.

My 8GB ram stick is a Corsair 8 GB DDR3 1333MHz model CMV8GX3M1A1333C9 while the one I have that works right now is a Kingston 4 GB DDR3 1066 MHZ KVR1066D3S7/4G.

I had delux version of that board and only ran 3x 4gb in triple channel. Did see those posts reporting 8gb modules long ago on some lga 1366 boards but never tried it. So 8gb module works only if 4gb module is installed? What about 8gb in itself? What does spd tab in cpuz report the dimm with 8gb in it?
