so ok first i wanna start off with this issue started after i blew up a xeon x5670 with 1.75v instead of 1.375v.
the frying cpu posted 2 tims. the 2nd time it went into the bios and got stuck on a wait.... screen after pressing the bios hot screen (seemed like the bios because of the scrolling bar) so i waited til i got uncomfy and just restarted it. the cpu at this point was fried so i tossed in a xeon w3520 for a day. this is where the issue begins
before putting back the old cpu i removed cmos battery to fully erase all stuff and got it booting.
but before the post screen wil come on. it seems to reboot about 4/5 times. during these there is nothing but a blinking cursor
so ok i thought perhaps the old cpu is doing this so now i got a xeon x5675 installed. cleared cmos ect before install by removing the battery. still the same reboot issues.
i flashed the bios from a asus p6t SE to a regular p6t bios for sli support after this issue started figuring perhaps the bios is corrupt so a full reinstall would fix it but so far still no signs.
i have noticed the first post of the xeon x5675 was without said issue. then a couple of reboots later it does this again
i got a 900 watt psu so power should not really be a issue (not sure wich brand. its black and red on the fan side and has a bronze certification iirc?)
this issue also happens with a single gpu plugged in
thank you in advance for your help. if needed can record a video of this issue. it takes about a full minute before the post actually continues
