asus p8h61-m lx-3 r2.0 will support gtx 960

Hey everyone i am looking for a gpu and i found gtx 960 will be sufficient for my gaming requirement but i have a bottlenecking motherboard that is an asus p8h61-m lx-3 r2.0 l don't know whether it will support the above mentioned gpu or not? Please help me eagerly awaiting for your help and support thanks in advance...

you should be just fine the mobo isnt bad its self it will not bottleneck and it has pci 3.0 which is good, whats your cpu?

That motherboard will support even GTX 980, though, Your CPU might be bottlenecking here, not the motherboard. It is indeed a basic chipset, nevertheless, it will run GTX 960 like charm.

Thanks coolboy951 and uplink-svk actually i checked my mobo on pc-specs.com for checking compatible gpu and there they showed compatibility upto nvidia 600 series only that's why I thought my mobo is a bad one..
BTW my cpu is i3 3210 is that ok....???

Core i3 3210 will take good GTX 960/upcoming 960 Ti, though it won't be able to feed GTX 970/980.

8 gigs would be "okay", 16 is overkill. So no, 4 gigs of ram ain't sufficent for new AAA titles.

the i3 3210 should be able to catch up with it but if you upgrade your GPU later on the GPU will be bottlenecked
