Hi guys,
I need some help here.

I have a mobo ASUS P9P67M PRO with 1X4Gb Corsair vengeance 2000MHz, and I wanna change the Cosrsair for a KINGSTON HYPERX FURY 8GB (1X8) DDR3 1866MHZ HX318C10FW/8.

I've heard the this memory is incompatible with my mobo (in UserBenchmark). Is that true? Or can i use the HyperX without problems?

The kingston site ensure that all kingston memories (with more than 1600MHz) work with my ASUS P8P67-M PRO.

Thank you,
Have a nice day.

QVL is the qualified vendor list. Basically it's a bunch of ram from different vendors that's been tested on that mobo and the manufacturer has certified it as compatible. This is done through model numbers as the HyperX for example has different models, some are single sided chips, some double sided, some 1.65v, some 1.5v even some 1.35v. If the model number you are looking at is not on the list, its one of 2 things. Either it's been tested and is not compatible or its just not been tested. The single best option is to have a copy of that list and when buying ram, choose a model that IS on the list. You can dl that list from Asus website specifically for your motherboard.

MB- ASUS P8P67-M PRO
XFX 650W PRO edition full
XFX Radeon HD 6950 (doing upgrade to MSI GTX 970 in about 2 weeks)
Corsair Vengeance 1x4Gb 2000MHz
i7 2600 (LGA 1155)

What is a RAM in QVL?

Thank you sir!
I've read the QVL and the memory I wanna buy (HyperX 1x8Gb) are not there. I spoke with some guy on the online store and he said that if my mobo supports DDR3 it should work just fine.

I do believe that those HyperX 1.5V 1866MHz work in the p8p67-M PRO. I just wanna be sure before I buy. Was searching for someone that have a p8p67-m pro and uses HyperX memories to see if they work.

Thank you again for your time.
