I have a P67 Mobo that was recalled, with the cougar point problem. There is no support for my exact mobo as Asus only has the B3/Rev3 version drivers etc.
I ran this for 4.5 years with the drivers off the DVD with no mobo-driver related problems.
Then: I bought a new SSD for windows 10, had issues with windows 10 and did a clean install of windows 7 on the new SSD (with drivers from the P67 B3/rev3 website). Now I have more issues than I even had with windows 10.
Here's the website I got the drivers from:
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8P67_PRO/HelpDesk_Download/
1) The cougar point recall was an issue with the Sata II connectors (which I'm not even using.) Any educated guesses what driver would potentially be effected by the recall? I'm guessing it's the Intel chipset driver. If that's the case, how would I uninstall just that driver? I don't think there's an uninstall exe in the download.
2) I have a Windows backup of my old system. Is there an easy way for me to restore drivers from that backup? (Don't mind doing a system restore from that backup if that'd do it.)
I still have my old system on my old SSD if all else fails...
