Hello,

I'm having problems with connecting TP Link Archer T4U to P8P67 motherboard using USB 3 port. I enabled USB 3 support in UEFI and installed Asmedia USB controller drivers. My computer detects TP Link Archer T4U (ver 2, drivers installed) when I plug it into USB 3 port and everything seems to be ok.

Unfortunately when I use USB Device Tree Viewer to make sure that Archer is using USB 3 speed it shows that it is connected in USB 2 mode (screenshot: https://ibb.co/dF0hB8). I tried different UEFI settings and some alternative Asmedia drivers but it still shows up as USB 2 connection. I have the latest BIOS update for my motherboard and I am using Windows 7 64bit.

Please help me...

I already have proper drivers installed (V2) - just checked it again to be sure.

Which driver version do you have installed?

Archer T4U(EU)_V2_161129_Windows

It looks like you have the latest drivers.
Are you sure your device version is V2?
I don't think you might see a difference in performance on that device between USB 2 or USB 3

It could be that they are advertising as a USB 3.0 but it really is a USB 2.0 device.
Have you tested the device in another PC with USB 3.0?
