Hello, i have just gotten a Gainward GTX 770 2GB, and when i use put it in the PCI-e slot and plug it in DVI monitor, the monitor is just saying that no source found and so on.
The power cables are plugged in.

Rig:
MBB: ASUS P8z68-v
GPU: Gainward GTX 770 2GB
RAM: 8GB Vengeance
PSU: Corsair TX750
CPU: i5-2500k

I have tried with my old gpu, evga gtx 660 that works fine, but i have read that some people have trouble with this mbb on the 700 series, but i am having troubles finding a fix.

Its vacation time and this is just complete crisis!

Solution
This is a bit of a long shot, but have you checked your BIOS settings to make sure that the default graphics card is set to PEG or PCIe instead of iGPU? It might've gotten changed when you flashed your BIOS.

One more question, i have tried installing bios updates without USB stick (because i dont have one currently).
In my BIOS i can choose to flash bios trough harddrive, but it just says the .rom isent EFI, do you have any clue how to fix this ?

You're best off with a USB stick. Then format to FAT16/32 rather than NTFS (that's why it comes up with the error "ROM file is not an EFI BIOS"). Transfer BIOS update files then go into EZ-Flash, locate the .ROM file and update. In my opinion, MSI and ASUS motherboards have the most convenient UEFI BIOSes, flashing is a piece of cake.

If updating the BIOS doesn't work out, there is most likely an issue with the GPU.

Extract the ZIP file to some location. Then transfer everything (including all folders) to the memory stick. When you go into the BIOS, the EZ-Flash utility will detect the correct files for update.

Out of curiosity, was your 770 purchased 'new' or 'refurbished'? Try what Mark advised, you never know when there's a problem with your motherboard.

If bought new, you should try RMA'ing the GPU through the supplier or through Gainward. Otherwise if it's refurbished, you may need to go through the warranty process with Gainward (it may cost you to replace it).

If you're sure that you've got the PCIe power plugs (remember, your card may require multiple power plugs) connected, then it seems like it may be a bad video card. The best way to find out is to put in another system and see if that motherboard can "see" it.

IIRC, the BIOS shouldn't be an issue unless it's a Maxwell card, but I'm pretty sure the 770 is a Kepler part. Besides, your motherboard is an EFI board...
