I build this computer about 4-5 days ago. I did not have any problems at all till today.

Every time I power it up, it would sit at the asus logo for about 1-2 minutes. The boot_device_led light would come on and stay lit till windows load up.

So far I have tried unplugging everything and still have the issue. I have turned off the jmicron controller and yet I still have that problem.

I am guessing that the motherboard is trying to find a device to boot and ends up being stuck for a while.

Can someone please help me out here, I am not sure what to do at this point.

My Rig:
Asus p8z68-v gen3
i5 2500k
Corsair vengence 16gb ram
gtx275
psu: 850w
Intel 510 SSD
Western digital caviar black 1tb

I have reset it and I have verified the boot order. In fact I disabled all other boot options except the main hard drive with windows. It still sits at the ASUS logo for 1-2 minutes then boots up.

I figured out what was wrong. I had a external hard drive that was plugged into one of the USBs and for some reason, the motherboard was trying to read it during the boot up.

I read somewhere else that some USB devices would give the motherboard issues and ended up fixing it by unplugging it.

Now it boots super fast.
