Asus p8z68-v lx beep on boot up

i recently moved my motherboard to new case but when i start up
i hear two beeps . i was wondering if it normal. my comp load up
to window and everything. also there is a red light from motherboard always on
what with that

Not sure about the 2 beeps. Most people when they start their computer just have 1, but it doesn't appear to be giving you any problems if you can get in Windows.

Are you sure you have your drives plugged into the right SATA ports?

Also, the red light might be the backup power light. If so, its supposed to be like that.

Further down it also lists 2 short beeps as a generic POST failure, meaning it could be anything.

Edit, after reading the second link, it might have something to do with the HDD, but it boots into Windows normally, which suggests that it's not a fatal error.

Yeah, noticed that as well... edited the post to substitute the pdf from ASUS support though.

I generally don't find the number of beeps to be a reliable indicator of the problems very often.

When I hear unusual beeps it makes me think that the absolute most basic physical stuff needs to be checked again.
