ASUS P8Z68-V PRO cpu led red light on all the time

Hey guys.

Just bought

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO
Intel Core i5 2500K Sandy Bridge
Corsair 8GB DDR3 1600MHz (2x4)

Put it all together and booted up, it worked fine or 5 min, but after a spontan reboot it just wount boot and the red cpu light on the asus mb is red all the time.

I tryed another psu and it works, cleared cmos, removing cpu and reinstaling it, i tryed taking all ram and hd so its only the mb and cpu but still red light.

Running out of things to try.

So anybody got any idears or would you say its a foulty mb or cpu?

The fans start spinning when i boot up so im thinking the cpu is broke??

Reseat the CPU and check you have the 12v motherboard connector plugged in

ok tryed to switch cooler to the stock cooler and asemble it all on the table so i can be sure that its not anything on that the mb touch the case.

So anything more i can try out before i send the cpu back for rma??? or you think its the mb, fans start spining so im thinking foulty cpu?

was a broken mb, got it changed and its all working now
