Problem:
I purchased the machine late last year and initially had a BIOS issue with the CPU not being supported but after updating the BIOS the issue was resolved and the PC ran without any issues for a long time. I mostly use the PC for work but experienced issues when playing games (BF3 and the new Simcity haha) where the PC would just restart. I did not make much of it until last week when I played CS GO and the PC would "stutter" between rounds (every couple of minutes) which then eventually would lead to the PC restarting.

I reinstalled Windows on Monday and since then have not been able to get the PC to be stable. Straight after the Windows installation (before drivers or software) the PC restarted and since then would restart at unexpected times. It is not triggered by any application (could just be browsing the net) but at times can run for hours without any interruption.

I do NOT want to overclock my CPU, RAM, motherboard or anything for that matter. Just want it to work with standard configurations.

What I have tried:
1) I ran MEMTEST and returned with no problems.
2) I installed (and uninstalled) ASUS AI Software as I thought it was attempting to overclock my PC. No difference.
3) I changed the BIOS to manual, auto and XMP and all do the same. I have had times where the manual or auto would literally lock up the machine but I cannot say if it is related. After a CMOS clear it would work again.
4) I moved the hard drives onto different SATA ports with no difference.
5) I ran Prime95 and did a stress test for around 10 minutes and CPU was stable (around 50 degrees)
6) The only APP I had so far which almost each time did reproduce the error was FurMark with a BURN IN test. The GPU averaged at 64 degrees but did not go further). It would either restart or at times shut down the machine and when I turn it back on it almost appears as if the USB controllers does not work (cannot access BIOS by pressing DEL and this happened each time the "shut down" occurs. It would require that I turn the PSU off and on again before it would work.
7) I removed all of the RAM (just 1 at a time) with same results.
8) All fans are running, case is open (same occurs whether I have it open or not).
9) The latest drivers for all hard ware is installed but gave issues before drivers was installed and I have had some cases where it would crash / restart before it would go into Windows so I am not convinced that it's software related.
10) I checked the event log but can find no log except the kernel error where it indicates that a unsuspected shutdown occured.
11) I moved the graphics card to different slots on the motherboard (the top one is close to the CPU so I figured it may get too hot) and the bottom one is again close to the PSU so I figured the fans may not get proper ventilation. Same issue occured.

It does not appear to be a heating issue (or at least not that of the GPU or CPU as both remain stable under stress tests).

Where I am now:

The BIOS is currently set to XMP with "default" options (did not fiddle around with the settings) except I changed the RAM to 1333mHZ as appose to the 1600mHZ.

Again I do not want to overclock the PC, I just want it to run as is.

Any advice would greatly be appreciated!
