Asus P8Z77-V LX or Msi z77a-g43

I have always been AMD and now im making the move to intel and would like to know which of these 2 boards to go for..
It is just for casual gaming - WoW, League of Legends mainly.
I will be using i5 3570k, 8gb 1600 RAM, i dont care about crossfire/sli and i dont care about the audio if the main difference is just the brand then i will go for Msi because it is what i have had the most experience with and i have never had problems with them (Never owned Asus).

The prices are pretty much the same Asus board is about 30p more expensive.

Just a quick side question.. is it worth moving to intel? i keep getting told intel is better but is it worth the extra money..
i mean i will be paying £178 for an i5 3570k or £228 for i7 2700k when i can get an fx 8350 for £155

Both amd and intel has their own advantages.
Honestly speaking I like fx8350 over intel similarly priced processors simply because the amd is better in that price range.
Intel is better in making the high performance desktop processors, like the i7 extreme series

As far as the motherboard is concerned I haven't had any experience with any one of the boards you stated above but I've heard numerous users complaining about MSI motherboards.
I hear far less problems with a ASUS motherboard.
Also have you considered gigabyte or ASRock?

There is a range of z77 from all brands that are very close in price less than £1 difference between them all so yes they are all options to me but that means i need to pick out of 4 lol, i cant even decide out of 2 and about the People complaining about Msi, i have also read bad reviews on Msi but i have got to say most of my rigs have been Msi and i have never had faults with any of them

My vote is MSI if you don't want to overclock much. The major issue is overclocking with this board. The Asus board will reach a higher overclock.

What exactly is your price range, what exact features do you need?

i dont have a set in stone price range i want to spend around 400-500 pounds though and i dont need a lot im not going to be playing BF3 max settings on 3 screens i just want a kind of update form what i have now which tbh could be done for about £50 my PC is very old now i have AMD athalon x4 640 and HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 not OC'd (which i can and do play BF3 on on medium settings, for me gfx dont make the game, as long as i can shoot people im happy lol)

BF3 on 3 screens on max settings needs some serious firepower.
Go for a FX8350, ASRock 970 extreme 3, and a GTX 670 or a HD 7970.

I forgot to mention i will be getting a HD 7970.

Would the fx 8350 option be superior to i5 3570k and z77 board? for gaming i mean, also i think if i chose the fx8350 i would need to update PSU atm i have Corsair CX500

Most games donT care for the CPU but some games are drastically effected by CPU like skyrim. Theses benchmarks http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fx-8350-core-i7-3770k-gaming-bottleneck,3407-7.html state that for skyrim 8350 is not the processor to go with. But also you have to pay the extra $139 for that 3770k.

I'd really think you go with the amd as it is cheap and outperforms intel chipsets at that price range.

You donot need to update your PSU of 8350
