title says it, has anyone made the upgrade and had good luck getting everything running with this motherboard?? asus doesn't support windows 10 with it, and I got a feeling they are not going to.

If anyone has a experience they can share, I'd be grateful.

Solution
ASUS may not support drivers for win10 for that MB, but as long as your PC can meet the requirements for the win10, you can because win10 will install most of drivers for you. I had the z68 + i5 2500K + gtx570+ win7pro, I had no problem to upgrade the win10. So I think you should be fine as long as your pc meets the requirements.
So when you ready for upgrade, make sure 1) you uninstall the antivirus software, 2) disconnect other HDD or SSD, 3) make sure your win7/win8.1 is up to date, 4) restore or redirected personal folders to their original location, 5) one more thing make the backup your system too, that is more important, in case there is something wrong during the upgrade, you have the copy of your OS.

thank you for taking the time to respond. you said to disconnect other HD/or SSD. I have software and games installed on 2 other internal HD's, and the OS installed on it standalone SSD. if I disconnect them will windows 10 know where those programs are installed for registry issues? or would I need to reinstall software that is installed on those drives?

Also I use asus suite 2 SOFTWARE. for automated overclocking and monitoring, do you foresee any issues with that software? broad question I know.

For games (steam or EA) you can use the backup features. Then you don't need download them again.
Steam http://www.maximumpc.com/how-to-back-up-and-restore-steam-games/#!
EA http://www.overclock.net/t/1222388/guide-moving-reinstalling-origin-and-games-without-re-downloading

For other programs in other drive, I am not sure. Sorry. For any programs in C driver they are fine as long as you choose "keep windows setting and personal files" when you upgrade the win10, also if they are win10 compatible. That why you need to make the copy of your OS, in case there is something wrong.

Hi,

I have recently upgraded to windows 10 with this motherboard, and it works for the most part. The only thing I cannot seem to get working is the sound card. When the computer starts up and shuts down there is a loud POP noise that sounds like the speakers are being plugged in, but then when windows is running there is no sound at all. I have tried installing the Realtek Windows 8.1 driver to no avail. I have also tried searching the web for an updated driver through device manager, and even though it finds an updated driver, it does not make a difference. I have also tried plugging in a headset to see if it is my speakers that are faulty, and they do the same thing, plus the microphone in the headset is also not working. Any ideas?

I assume you are referring to the on board sound card for the motherboard, I am using a PCI sound card, sound blaster with on board off in the bios. kind of Obviously but worth pointing out that I had to select my playback device and recording device after updating. Speaker on the bottom right toolbar, right click and select your playback device. Other then that, unless you can get a windows 10 driver to work with the on board sound or ASUS updates thier driver list for windows 10. My solution would be buy a sound card, Sound blaster IMHO.

I am looking at getting the Asus Xonar DG, as i am on a bit of a budget. Would there be any problems with this? I mainly use the computer for games and maybe a little music, but it has the option of hooking into the front panel which I like to use for my headset. I have never really been that picky about audio quality, as long as it is reasonable quality.

Hi there,
I didn't have any problem with the onboard sound working after upgrade to Windows 10.
But would like to know if you had any problems getting the USB working ? I have the same board and Win 10 doesn't recognize the USB, so when the system comes up you cannot even use the keyboard or mouse. Fortunately I could login using Team Viewer to see the problem at hand. After checking Intel's site they said that they have never designed a Windows 10 driver for the USB.
May I ask what version of Windows you were upgrading from ? I was upgrading from Win7, (and ended up having to fallback to Win7 due to the USB issue)

Many Thanks

My upgrade was successful, however the transfer rate of the hard drives is only about 100 MB/sec. I reinstalled the Intel drivers but they did not help. I reinstalled Windows and that did not help.

I'm not sure what else to do at this point.

What type of hard drives?
