Asus P8Z77-V Pro LAN port issue

I am having a recurring issue with my Asus P8Z77-V Pro motherboard since the past few days. The LAN port suddenly stops working and Windows 7 shows Unidentified Network: No network access instead of the standard Network 2:Internet Access.

My router's wireless is working fine and the wired connection is working fine too since this issue happens randomly.

I tried the solution, i.e., installing the latest drivers from Asus's website but it doesn't fix the issue.

The wired connection works for an hour or so and then it suddenly stops working. After uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers a few times + reboots + trying different driver versions, it suddenly starts working. Then it works fine for an hour or two and then stops again.

Please provide me with a permanent solution. I have tried 3 different driver versions from Asus V17300, V17000 and V16600 and they all have the same issue. I also tried the latest drivers from Intel's website for the 82579V Gigabit but it also has the same issue.

As it's an onboard NIC, I would suggest updating your BIOS to make sure there aren't any issues at that level. Once you've done that, uninstall and reinstall the NIC using the newest drivers from Intel.
