So I have been using this machine for 3 years Just reinstalled windows 7 and i began doing the AU Charger app to overclock my i7 a little (Ive done this before no issues). The app restarts the pc before it begins to overclock but instead it restarts with a blank screen and error 64 or 62.

After messing around I just reset the cmos chip. Works, it loads up and asks me to go into BIOS to set all that. I keep everything pretty much the same and save and it restarts. But now restarts to error 62 again! Ive done this cmos clearing 4 times and it just does the same thing after saving the bios.

Any idea whats up? Shouldnt the default bios settings work?

Solution
If you reset BIOS all goes to default, might look in BIOS - ensure if using a discrete GPU that primary video is set to PEG/PCI-E, if you have an SSD then drives prob need to be set to AHCI, if DRAM 1600 or better, ensure XMP is enabled and DRAM freq selected, etc
