Asus p9x79 Pro not booting

Hello,

I've had this computer since Christmas and it has been running perfectly. Last Easter my uncle updated the BIOS and it was running good for about a week. Then the computer started requiring 3-4 presses of the on switch for it to turn on. I just dismissed it at the time. This has progressed to the point where currently I have to sit there for 20-40 minutes pressing the on switch on the motherboard before it will turn on.
The lights on the various buttons on the motherboard are all lit.
From reading around various forums it sounds like it's something to do with the BIOS.

I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to computers so any help would be appreciated.

could be bios, but it could also be a bad power switch. Could also be an issue with the PSU, a loose connection from the switch to the mobo, and maybe a gorunding issue. You have a bit of things to check lol.

Take the board out of the case and run it ona non-conductive surface. You may need to check it with another PSU - might be an idea to take the parts down to your local computer shop and have them test for you.
