Asus P9X79LE Not Reading All Memory

Greets,

I just purchased an ASUS P9X79 LE motherboard with an 8-stick 64GB kit of GSKILL DDR-1600 PC3-12800 8192MB (CL10-10-10-30 1.5v) - F3-12800CL10Q2-64GBZL

6 of 8 sticks are showing up normal. The remaining 2 show up abnormal in the ASUS bios. My current BIO is the latest update on the website (P9X79 LE BIOS 4608).

When I noticed the issue, I took good memory and replaced it with the bad memory. The slots still showed as being abnormal. Then I took each stick, booted them up 1-by-1 and all looked good. No errors, no indications on the board as being bad, all check out good.

Next step was to check my Intel Core i7-4820K LGA2011 (3.7GHz, 10MB Cache, 130W) for bent pins and etc. Took it out, checked and everything looked okies. Hopefully the resetting would help too. Popped it back in, booted up with all memory, still the same issue.

C1 and C2 show abnormal.

Machine boots with 49GB of memory. Everything else is operating normally. No hangs, restarts and so forth. What am I missing? Bad motherboard?

Try to clear the CMOS by removing the battery. And boot the PC again.

With 64GB might go into BIS and try raising the VCCSA to 1.25 and try with that

So, I talked to the ASUS support representative and they said the memory is not supported. I checked on the GSKILL website and says it is. Here is their list on the GSKILL website.

Asus responds by what they have tested with so prob haven't tested, GSkill also tests and do so at the XMP profile, rather than the mobo default, so would go along w/ GSkill (been doing support on their site for a few years now)

I set the CPU VCCSA to 1.25 and no change. Max is 1.9 as listed on the BIOS. I tried in 0.005 increments as well.

I also tried default settings as well the XMP profile. Still no go.

What's your thoughts?

Well, GSKILL reps think it's the motherboard or CPU.

How can I check the CPU outside of the pins?

Before that, let's try VCCSA still at 1.2 and take DRAM voltage up to 1.56 and try........also take a look in the DRAM advanced timings and let me know what the tRFC is at

Do you think the reason it's not reading is because it just doesn't have enough juice to power all 8 slots? Last I checked, it was sitting at 1.25 for the CPU VCCSA and the default 1.50 voltage for the dims.

With 64 GB thinking the MC (memory controller) might need a little help, the VCCSA will feed it some, and giving the DRAM a bit extra can help also, your particular CPU may have a MC that's a shy on the weak side

Okies, tried the suggested settings. No go on seeing the other dims. I even increased it a little more than you suggested, still no go.

I assume the defaults are these:

The DRAM REF Cycle Time is 139 across the board.
The DRAM Refresh Interval Time is 4160 across the board.

But my settings are set to AUTO for those secondary timings.

Primary Timings are 10/10/10/30/2
