ASUS PB278Q 27-Inch WQHD - Max Resolution?

I recently purchased this monitor and set it up yesterday. I have a EVGA GTX 460 video card. NVidia states that this video card does support the max 2560x1440 resolution. I have it plugged into the Mini HDMI port on my card.

However, the only way I can get the display to use this mode is if I go into the advanced settings of the adapter control panel and choose this mode. Is there some setting or something that I am missing or do I need to invest in a new video card? Any help you can provide would be great. Thanks very much!

The GTX 460 should support the resolution; you will need to use a dual-link DVI cable, however. Once you use the proper cable, you should have no issues.

Interesting. I will have to try that this evening when I get home. But dual-link DVI will not run in HD, correct? Or will it?

Dual-link dvi will run at full 2560x1440 resolution or anything less that you set.
HDMI on the 460 can only go to 1920x1200.
