Currently I'm rocking an ASUS VE278Q (1080p, 60hz, TN). / GTX 780
I'm looking for an upgrade, yet I cannot make up my mind about which monitor to get.

ASUS PB278Q 4K display at a 60HZ refresh rate coming at a price of 500,- (euro).
or
ASUS PQ278Q 1440p display at a 144hz refresh rate coming at a price of 740,- (euro).

I really like to have a 4k resolution display, yet the downside is the 60HZ refresh rate. Yet adding roughly 250 euro on top of the budget I can downgrade to 1440P but upgrade to 120/144HZ. Is it worth the money? Also looking at my GTX 780, which monitor would perform better fps-wise (let's say for example BF4)?

Thanks in advance,

Solution
The RoG Swift will perform better since the resolution is lower, also the swift has g-sync so anything above 60 fps is extra. I'd go with the Swift/Pg278q since it'll perform better with your 780

Will i still get reasonable fps with the GTX 780 on an average base, using a 1440p, 120/144hz monitor?
As i need to perform 100+ fps to even take advantage of the 120/144hz feature.

Depends on the games you play. In my experience it's definitely worth it. You don't really notice how much better 144hz is if you get it but once you go back to 60hz it's bothersome. Most games you should be able to hit 100 fps with the 780.
