i'm looking at this monitor for gaming and movies only.

I can only find a few reviews and they are largely favorable.
The Ultra sharp is nearly $250 more with better color reproduction being really only where it out shines this Asus. I know the panels use different switching tech but for games it should not present problems i believe.

I can overclock the refresh from from 60 to 85 also, making it even better.

Any thoughts/opinions would be helpful?

Thanks Gee

Ok i couldn't wait any longer so i bought it.

So for anyone else who is interested in PB278Q:

Damn it awesome for gaming and movies. I was up all night having a great time.

BF4 didn't go under a 100fps maxed out

Metro 2033 - 75 fps maxed out (Last Light was even better).

Arma 3 - scaled much better in cfx (it was nearly non-existent in 1080p)

Crysis 1 (i was curious) could only manage about 35fps but it sure did look the goods for an old game.

1080P movie was stunning.

Hope that helps someone eventually.

I did oc to 75 hertz only as i did not want to run to far out of spec.
